Becca, the Tinker would have your guts for garters:-) As he always reminds me when I get it wrong,everyone says condemn but actually it's contemn . I've only just looked up the meaning of contemn and I think it does suit the meaning well but just thought I'd better let you know before he drops by and well, has your g for g!

I think it's been the cause of much dispute down the years but the old soldiers all insist on contemn so perhaps we'd better take their word for it:-)

Yes, but at least you got 'grow not' correct. So many damn fools say 'not grow' - mostly people who ought to know better.
